Our Concern
Many neurodiverse teens rely on doom-scrolling for entertainment, leading to depression and mental exhaustion. They also struggle to make social connections, leading to loneliness. Therefore, we aim to give teens outlet-smart activities in order to give them an alternative to doom-scrolling.
The Mission
HobbyHive is dedicated toward pollinating the social relationships of neurodivergent adolescents. Through a discovery of activities and events based on their individualized interests, they can switch from meaningless doom scrolling to meaningful engagements. We created HobbyHive to offer teens possibilities beyond doom-scrolling, and we hope this outlet can improve the attention spans and mental health of neurodiverse teens.
The Bee Hive
2024 Stanford Neurodiversity Project | Cohort 2 | Group C
This project was made as part of Stanford University School of Medicine SNP-REACH (Stanford Neurodiversity Project - Research, Education, and Advocacy Camp for High Schoolers). The camp aims to educate high schoolers on various aspects of neurodiversity, from mental health and neurodiversity, law and neurodiversity, neurobiology, and so much more. Additionally, we have been proponents of neurodiversity advocacy through our project–HobbyHive.
Sophie Nguyen
Sophie is a rising high school senior at Granite Bay High School. Through her neurodiversity advocacy, she is committed toward reporting on underrepresented neurodivergent communities and is dedicated toward media accessibility for all individuals on the spectrum.
Nathan Young
Nathan is an incoming junior at Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego. As someone on the autism spectrum, he has always been a strong advocate for neurodiversity. He hopes to study data science and AI to better understand and support the neurodiverse community.
Annie Cui
Annie is a rising junior at Orange County School of the Arts. As an advocate for neurodiverse individuals, she hopes to drive meaningful change in educational and workplace settings. She hopes to study psychology to better understand the world around her.

Caroline Lee
Caroline is a rising sophomore at Palo Alto High School. She is interested in neurodiversity because she has friends and family that are neurodiverse. By learning about neurodiversity, she hopes to understand the challenges they face. Caroline also participates in both her school's swim team, and speech and debate club. She enjoys drawing, cooking, volunteering, and spending time in the outdoors.
Aditi Athuluri
Aditi is a rising junior at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California. Some things she enjoys are reading, playing volleyball, and video games. Aditi hopes to find subtle and helpful ways to advocate and enable neurodiverse people to meet their fullest potential in life.
Katie Lin
Katie is a rising sophomore from Cerritos, California. Some of her favorite hobbies are playing badminton for her school, traditional Chinese dance, and creating paintings of still life. She is the president of a support group that helps neurodivergent adolescence have opportunities to enjoy their favorite hobbies. She hopes to advocate and help the neurodivergent community in voicing their needs.
Margaret Forrest
Maggie is a rising junior from San Carlos, California. She enjoys in writing, drawing, theatre, gardening, random research, analyzing fictional characters, and a myriad of other things. Maggie is also neurodivergent (autistic w/ADHD). She wishes to use my experiences to make an impact on the world. Maggie loves learning about psychology, especially abnormal psychology, which is part of how she realized she was neurodivergent.
Rishabh Devdhar
Rishabh is a rising sophomore from Dallas, Texas. He enjoys video games, random research, and drawing. Rishabh is also neurodivergent (autistic w/stuttering). He wishes to use his experiences to help other neurodiverse students.
